The German police violated the sanctions of the EU on Wednesday and carried out a raids on suspected smuggling rings that illegally sold high -end German vehicles to Russia.

A 46 -year -old Belarusian woman was arrested and five vehicles were seized as part of an attack aimed at the location of the landshut region in the southern Berlin and southern Bavaria.

The prosecution of Berlin believed that a woman was a risk of flight and told the security judge that she would ask her to maintain her detention.

According to the survey, 192 cars, with total value of about 21.4 million euros ($ 26.3 million), are involved, police said.

In addition to women, the police are investigating two suspected accomplices who have tried to avoid sanctions against Russia on Ukraine’s continuous invasion.

The Berlin Prosecutors’ Office said the trio was considered to have exported numerous cars to Russia since April 5, 2022.

The EU banned export of high -end products to Russia on March 15, 2022. These sanctions were strengthened to ban car sales to Russia, regardless of value on June 24, 2023.

In order to bypass the sanctions of the EU, the car dealer made a fake document to give the impression that it is exported to Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.

However, the survey shows that the car was actually registered directly in Russia.

A total of 186 vehicles were said to end in Russia for violating sanctions.
