Giants’ Andrew Thomas named PFF’s 50 Best Players of 2024

The New York Giants are scheduled to enter training camp in a week and will be retooling their offensive line. If you’ve heard this before, pause for a moment.

The unit features two new starters in John Runyan Jr. and Jermaine Ellumuno, while John Michael Schmitz, Evan Neal and Andrew Thomas also return.

Thomas remains a key player for the team after an injury-hit 2023 season. He’s healthy once again and will hopefully be back to being the dominant force he was in 2022.

Currently at Pro Football Focus: Top 50 Players Ahead of the 2024 Season And despite last year’s struggles, they still consider Thomas their best player.

29. T Andrew Thomas, New York Giants

Losing Andrew Thomas to injury last season was a huge blow to an already weak offensive line. Thomas ended up playing just 576 snaps, just over half of the total in 2022. He’s a great pass-blocker and was upping his run-blocking game to a similar level before injuries derailed his 2022 run. If Thomas can bounce back and have a healthy season, and the Giants have better players on the line, he’s a worthy candidate for this ranking.

Neal will be under a lot of pressure this season, but Thomas will be under a lot of pressure. The Giants are counting on him to get back to All-Pro form. If he doesn’t, the team’s spiral will likely continue and his job will be lost.
