Giants’ Daniel Jones ‘More Motivated Than Ever’ to Prove Doubters Wrong

New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones remains cool, cool, and collected no matter the situation. Despite his mild-mannered demeanor, he has endured widespread criticism in recent years.

Many people think it just rolls off Jones’ back, but he hears it and sees it.

After a down season in 2023 that ended with an ACL tear, Jones is using his growing hatred as motivation.

“Personally, all offseason, he’s been telling people he’s more motivated than ever. It’s been negative, talking about drafting a quarterback with the sixth overall pick.” Ari Meirov of 33rd Team said:. “It ignites a fire in a player like him and he wants to prove everyone wrong a year after signing a big contract.”

Jones is currently working out with a number of teammates in North Carolina, an annual event for Giants quarterbacks dating back to Eli Manning.

For Jones, he’ll get a chance to get more one-on-one sessions with receivers and running backs after opting out of 11-on-11 play this spring.

“We have high expectations. We always do. You know, we’re going to get there by working every day and making sure we’re ready to go on the first day of training camp. Once we get into training camp, we’re going to get everything out of each practice and We have high expectations for what we can be as a team and what we can become as an offense.” Jones said at minicamp.

Jones also said the Giants focused on creating more explosive plays downfield in the offseason. If he and his skill position players can get that firepower, DJ might finally be able to silence the noise coming from outside the building.
