Giants have two first-time Pro Bowlers in 2024

The New York Giants have drafted high in recent years and made big runs in free agency, leaving fans excited for their opportunities this season.

They either produce their own stars or import them. In a recent article on CBS Sports, Cody Benjamin identified two Giants as candidates. First Pro Bowler in 2024.

The first is this year’s top draft pick, wide receiver Malik Nabers, taken sixth overall by the Giants out of LSU. They’re hoping Nabers follows the same path as other Tiger star wideouts over the last decade (Odell Beckham Jr., Jarvis Landry, Justin Jefferson, Ja’Marr Chase).

The first rookie on the list, Nabers provides a much-needed boost to the Giants’ offense. Considering the lack of other top-tier weapons in the lineup, you’ll get your share of mountainous targets from Daniel Jones and Co.

The other player is inside linebacker Bobby Okereke, who general manager Joe Schoen cleverly signed to a four-year free agent contract last March.

A sideline force in his Giants debut, Okereke has been a tackling machine since his time with the Indianapolis Colts. The addition of Brian Burns to the front seven could further increase his impact.

Okereke, who played 100% of the defensive snaps last year and called the defensive signal, recorded 149 total tackles (92 solo, 11 for loss) last season, ranking 9th in the NFL.

He added 2.5 sacks, 10 passes defensed, two interceptions, six QB hits and four forced fumbles.

It’s honestly a tragedy that Okereke was left out of the Pro Bowl last year in the first place.
