Giants manager Brian Daboll’s job is heating up.

The New York Giants figured 2024 would be their turning point toward continued success.

That doesn’t seem to be the case. The team appears to be in trouble once again, having won just two of their first ten games and with a killer schedule on the horizon.

Sure, losing the game was concerning, but the way the team was losing the game has fans and pundits wondering if this team is really heading in the right direction as general manager Joe Schoen believes.

Coach Brian Daboll’s team has been uninspired, undisciplined and downright bland this season. Veteran Giants and FOX Sports NFC East reporter Ralph Vacchiano is listed. Daboll, a possible candidate for the unemployment line. After this Giants disappointment.

The reason Daboll is on this list is because two coaches have already been fired and his team is heading into a bye week with a five-game losing streak and an ugly 20-17 overtime loss to the Carolina Panthers in Germany. He was hired with an offensive mind, but their offense is terrible. They will probably need to replace a quarterback sooner rather than later. And at this point, their fans are calling for them to tank to get the No. 1 overall pick in the draft.

The Giants also have four home games remaining and are already 0-5 in the Meadowlands this season. Empty stadiums and angry crowds have a history of weighing on this ownership and convincing them to do what they promised themselves they wouldn’t do.

Co-owner John Mara recently gave his front office and Daboll a vote of confidence, saying he has no plans to fire anyone during or after the season.

But the reality is that the Giants, led by Schoen and Daboll, are 17-26-1. At times, the team appears to have no one steering the ship, and the continued incompetence in nationally televised games has amplified the team’s internal problems.

Daboll doesn’t look like he’s going anywhere at the moment. Keep in mind that he is the team’s fifth manager since 2016 and Mara is taking a more patient approach with him.
