The New York Giants lost to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 30-7, on Sunday afternoon at MetLife Stadium. This was a lackluster effort that showed there was a lot more wrong with this team than Daniel Jones.
Fans booed and many left at halftime as the Giants lost their sixth straight game and fell to 2-9. They are tied with the Jacksonville Jaguars for the worst record in the NFL, and are currently slated to be selected with the second overall pick in next year’s NFL Draft.
But fans weren’t the only ones to criticize the Giants’ effort. They knew they were going to stink right now and they weren’t shy about showing that to reporters after the game.
Rookie wide receiver Malik Nabers said he was “tired of losing” and that the quarterback wasn’t the reason for the loss.
“It’s the same result as when DJ was the quarterback. Not the quarterback.” https://t.co/tqW2vsBOhS

“I don’t know what it is,” he said. “Everyone knows better than me.”
Neighbors, the team’s first-round pick, was not targeted in the first half. He wasn’t as happy as a Giants fan. He also called the team “(expletive) soft.”
“When it’s 30-0, I start getting the ball. What do you want me to do?”
“Talk to Dabs about that,” Malik Nabers said when asked why he didn’t get the ball until the second half. pic.twitter.com/HNHOPGXysT

Defensive captain Dexter Lawrence also said the team played “smooth.”They beat the (expletive) out of us..” Navers also called the team ‘soft.’
Offensive tackle Jermaine Eluemunor said he personally believes everyone “give 100 percent.”
This team doesn’t seem to be functioning properly at the moment. players I feel like I don’t trust my coach No more. That is a very dangerous position.
Even linebacker Brian Burns had to calm down for a moment before saying anything negative about the coaching staff.
“Well (long pause) I’d like to think so.” – Brian Burns talks about whether the coaching staff’s message is getting through.
The team still has faith in its coaching staff. #giants

There’s only one solution to this predicament, but there’s zero chance we’ll see anyone fired by the end of the season.
As someone who has followed this franchise since the mid-1960s, I’ve seen a few downturns, but this might be the ugliest. Problems can start at a level as high as the ownership group and work their way down.
