Homemade curry powder recipe (not too spicy)

5 Min Read

I didn’t think I like curry powder. I don’t know where the negative opinion comes from, but I accidentally added it to the soup and I found it absolutely liked it. The unique and complicated taste is an additional addition of curry powder for meals.

I now add this curry powder recipe to breakfast, like our regular vegetable scrambled. It is also used with meat, soup and grilled vegetables. I experimented with adding it to traditional curry dishes, but these are certainly not my strength (who wants to go?).

What is curry powder?

The term “curry” is not a clear concept in the food world. We apply it to the cuisine of spicy taste and usually associate it with Asia or Indian cuisine. Fun, most curry powder seasonings do not use curry leaves at all, but they are mixed with various soil and smoke.

that Curry It started with the British occupation of England and the British classified food as Indian curry. So today’s curry powder is actually European interpretation of Indian dishes. Over the years, they have evolved some but are characterized by different combinations of various fragrant spices.

Fenugreek Seeds, Fennel Seeds, Paprika, Ground Ginger, Mustard Seeds, Coriander seeds, Cayenne Pepper, Black Pepper, Chili Powder, Cumin Seeds, Bay Leaf, Garlic Powder And cinnamon and spices are mixed. Curry spices blends can be grilled with the entire spices and then ground to the spice grinder. Other recipes (including this) use ground spices for faster versions.

Given the health benefits of spices, curry can be a fantastic way to work in the entire spices.

How to make light curry powder seasonings (or taste)

Why do you make curry powder when you can buy it? One word: heat! The most pre -made curry seasoning I tried I packed a lot of heat and spices. This can be especially difficult for small children.

Creating your own DIY spice mix can make your family appropriately adjust the heat to your family. You can also adjust the recipe and remove the spices you don’t like.

How to use curry powder

There are a lot of traditional Indian recipes and adaptation that go well with curry powder. It also works well with seasonings of sweet potatoes, baked chicks and chicken.

If you don’t think you like curry, you may not have the right mix of your taste. Try your own curry powder. Add a small amount to simple recipes such as meat, grilled vegetables or soup, start and work there.
