Rural Hybrid Care Provider Homeward announced the appointment of Dr. Greg Burrell, an internist, as its first chief medical officer.
Burrell oversees the company’s clinical and exploration strategies across quality assurance and markets, working to improve the member experience and support the health system.
He previously served as Chief Medical Officer for an employer health benefits company. Gravy served as Vice President and CMO of Clinical Solutions at Accolade, a virtual healthcare company.
Burrell also co-founded a virtual primary and urgent care provider. He served as Vice President of Clinical Strategy and Products and Chief Medical Officer of Primary Care at Carbon Health.
“Today marks a pivotal moment in our journey to reimagine the delivery of health and care in rural America, as we welcome Dr. Burrell as Homeward’s first chief medical officer,” Homeward co-founder and CEO Dr. Jennifer Schneider said in a statement.
“Dr. Burrell’s clinical acumen, experience building innovative clinical product offerings, and dedication to the patient experience and quality of care will be invaluable as we continue to grow and expand to meet the healthcare needs of rural Americans.”
New York-based mental health platform Headway hires Susan Chiang as Chief Information Security Officer.
Chiang previously served as Chief Security Officer at Cloudflare, a cloud cybersecurity and website services company. Prior to that, he was on Uber’s security leadership team and worked in technology and healthcare consulting at Deloitte. He also gained security and strategy experience while working at Salesforce.
She will oversee Headway’s engineering, IT, data privacy and security.
