Last Saturday, a ferry dock collapsed on Sapelo Island, Georgia, killing seven people.
Reports say at least 20 people were on the dock as crowds gathered to celebrate the fall of the Goula-Zizi community of descendants of black slaves.
Many people were rushed to nearby hospitals. Their condition is unknown.
Sapelo Island is about 60 miles south of Savannah.
Georgia Governor Brian Kemp prayed for the victims.
Marty, the girls and I are heartbroken by the tragedy that occurred today on Sapelo Island. As state and local first responders continue to take on this active field, we ask all Georgians to join us in praying for the missing, those still at risk, and their families.
