House Republicans Seek to Impeach Kamala Harris

MONews
3 Min Read

Rep. Andy Ogles (R-TN) has introduced articles of impeachment against Vice President Kamala Harris, the presumptive Democratic nominee.

Representative Ogles said Harris impeachment On failing to visit the southern border. “Kamala Devi Harris has demonstrated a gross incompetence in carrying out her duties and responsibilities, a blatant refusal to uphold existing immigration laws, and a flagrant indifference to the American people suffering because of the ongoing crisis at our southern border. Vice President Harris has consistently refused to visit our southern border to assess this ongoing national crisis, except for one visit hundreds of miles from the epicenter of the migrant crisis.”

Ogles’ article of impeachment alleges that Harris committed high crimes and misdemeanors by failing to comply with the nation’s immigration laws.

If all this sounds familiar, it probably is.

This is the same trick that House Republicans attempted when they tried to impeach Secretary Meyerkas, which was thrown into the Senate trash can after the Senate ruled that the House had sent articles of impeachment that did not contain impeachable offenses.

The articles of impeachment against Vice President Harris are a blatant abuse of power, but if Republicans in the House were desperately needed, they could make a serious effort to impeach Harris.

The vice president is unknown to most of the country, so there is a competition between the two parties to define her.

Donald Trump has no means of countering Kamala Harris, and House Republicans are desperate to find a way to give her a talking point.
