The most popular post on my blog is definitely “How to Get to Tomorrowland” (especially if you’ve just pre-registered). Every year, more and more people flock to learn about this amazing festival. But the question I keep getting asked is, “How much does Tomorrowland cost?” “How much money should I bring?”
I have been to the festival for the past 4 years so I will try my best to describe it in detail for you. I am American so I have converted this to Euros. I have included the cost of flights to the festival but I know some people may take the train or a much shorter flight. But I thought it would be helpful.
**If you haven’t read my post on “How to Get to Tomorrowland”, start there. It breaks down everything leading up to the festival, and what to expect when you get there.
Tomorrowland prices
flight
My flight cost from the US (Texas) to Belgium varies a bit depending on when you buy your tickets. I usually try to buy tickets in February but haven’t secured any festival tickets yet. Here are the current round-trip flight costs: €999 or $1,185.
Ticket
Tomorrowland ticket prices vary depending on what you purchase. A day pass is €88 or $110 (Saturdays usually sell out the fastest). A Full Madness Tomorrowland pass is good for 3 days. The worldwide pre-sale price is €365.. Tickets can only be purchased for up to 4 people.
It’s expensive, but I think it’s worth it. There’s also the option of doing the Tomorrowland Global Journey. It’s expensive, but it guarantees you entry to the festival. The Global Journey price includes round-trip airfare and accommodation. €2000 or $2370.
food
Surprisingly, Tomorrowland menu items are relatively inexpensive. They don’t try to haggle down the price. The way you buy anything is 2 per ticket. So if something costs 5 tickets, it’s actually 10. For example, fries are 2 tickers (€4) and a burger is 3 tickers (€6). I don’t think that’s too expensive for a festival.
For example, let’s say you eat two and a half meals a day (half of which are snacks).
Total = €72 or $86
drink
The drinks offered at Tomorrowland are beer. My favorite is the cherry beer, which my husband says tastes like medicine. Beer is 1.5 tickets, so a small is €3, a large is 2.5 or €5. Soda is also 1.5 tickets. This is all from the last 3 years, so it may change. You can check it out here. This blog Details of all food and drinks.
This total actually depends on how much you drink, but let’s say you drink five glasses a day. Total = €45 or $54
lodging
I never camp. I know people like camping, but it’s not for me. I stay in hotels. I recommend staying here. But you can usually expect to pay between €70 and €150 a night, depending on where you stay. Dreamville There are a few options. Regular camping is €343 or $407 (including ticket price), while Comfort (recommended!) is €765 or $907, which also includes ticket price.
It depends on the situation Total = €250 or $300
Transportation to the festival site
Of course, if you are staying in Dreamville, you don’t have to worry about this. However, if you are outside the festival grounds, it is quite easy to get to the festival grounds. If you are staying near the town of Boom (Brussels, Antwerp, Mechelen, etc.) there is a bus that will take you there. There are designated “Tomorrowland Shuttles” that run every few hours and it only costs a few euros to get to the festival grounds. So the total cost for the three days is about
€30. The problem is that the buses are full and it is difficult to get home from the festival. You can take a taxi home, but it costs about €50 per night (we always split it between 4 people).
Total for 3 days = approximately €42.50 or $50
Festival clothes
You will undoubtedly want to dress to impress. Bright colors, tank tops, denim shorts, and flower crowns are all over the festival. I try to keep my spending to a minimum for this event and wear clothes from previous years or add a few new neon items to my wardrobe. I always try to pack very light since I travel after the festival. Here are some ideas for what to wear to Tomorrowland.
Total = €50 or $60
souvenir
Tomorrowland offers a variety of items to buy at the festival. I usually don’t buy anything, but last year I had to buy a Tomorrowland hat. It was €35 or $42. That’s really expensive! Shirts start at that price too.
Total = €50 or $60
Total cost for Tomorrowland is €1,745.50 or $2,069.
I get asked this question probably once a week and always say $2,000, but I didn’t realize I was actually right until I broke it down like this! The three years I spent at Tomorrowland were one of the most unforgettable experiences of my life. It was worth the money!
Do you agree? Have you ever been to Tomorrowland? Do you think my analysis is accurate?
