Hubert Hurkacz has strengthened his coaching setup with two new additions for the 2025 season.
The 27-year-old added eight-time Grand Slam champion Ivan Lendl and Olympic doubles gold medalist Nicolas Massu to his team. Lendl helped Andy Murray win three major titles, while Massu coached Dominic Thiem to the 2020 US Open crown.
“It is an honor to have Nicolas Massu and Ivan Lendl as part of our team,” Hurkacs said in a statement. “Their knowledge and dedication inspires me to work harder than ever, and I am ready to work hard.
“We are excited and optimistic about the 2025 season and beyond. This year was a year full of twists and turns. I have learned a lot, grown a lot, and can finally say that I am fully healthy and ready for the challenges ahead.”
Hurkacz underwent meniscus surgery to repair an injury suffered in the second round of Wimbledon and has since parted ways with longtime coach Craig Boynton, with whom she has won all eight of her tour-level titles.
“I am very motivated and happy to begin this new chapter by collaborating with Hubi,” said Massu. “Not only is he a great guy, he’s also a true professional. I am excited to join his team and believe we can accomplish great things together. “I’m also looking forward to starting preseason in Florida with Ivan.”
The Pole achieved a career-high No. 6 in the PIF ATP Rankings in August, but ended the year at No. 16 with a win-loss record of 40-19. Hurkac will begin the 2025 season representing Poland in the United Cup, an innovative mixed team event where he finished as runner-up last year.
