Will Smith wants to make one thing clear.
He has no part in the endless arguments surrounding Sean “Diddy” Combs.
As you may have heard by now, Diddy is currently awaiting trial on numerous charges, many of which stem from allegations of rape and sexual assault.
A growing scandal
Earlier this week, Jay Z was embroiled in a scandal after an anonymous accuser claimed the hip-hop legend raped her alongside Diddy.
She was just 13 years old at the time of the alleged incident in 2000.
Perhaps to preemptively avoid any legal drama of his own, Will denied any relationship with Diddy during a concert in San Diego on Thursday night.
“The world we live in now makes it really difficult to discern what is real and what is not true,” Will told the crowd. TMZ.
“I have never commented publicly on the matter, but I wanted to make it very clear: I am not affiliated with Puffy, so you can stop all the memes.”
Will didn’t comment specifically on the meme, but he seems upset by some of the content being circulated on social media.
“You can stop all that bull. I’ve never been anywhere near those damn Freak-Offs. I do my own thing enough, don’t spread other people’s bull,” he continued, referencing Diddy’s infamous sex parties.
“I’ve never been near him. [or] “I didn’t do anything that stupid, so every time you hear me say that, it’s a fucking lie.”
Needless to say, Will was very adamant about having no relationship with Diddy at all.
However, he took a somewhat lighter approach, joking, “I don’t even like baby oil.” Clearly, Will doesn’t want to answer questions related to Diddy. Because Jay Z might soon do just that.
What’s next for Diddy?
As for the man at the center of all of this, it’s starting to feel increasingly like he’s going to be locked up for a very long time.
Didi’s bail requests continued to be denied as the defendants continued to make horrific allegations of abuse.
Lawyers for the jailed hip-hop mogul continue to assert his innocence.
They will get a chance to make their case in court when Didi’s trial gets underway in May.
But no matter how the trial progresses, it seems safe to say that the court of public opinion has already made its decision.
