Roma today revealed the new signing of Artem Dobbic.
The capital club announced that Dobbić had signed a permanent transfer from Girona.
Following the announcement, the striker gave his first interview with the club.
“I’m really happy to be here,” Dovbeek said. “The deal is finally done and I’m looking forward to my first day with the team. I’m really happy right now.”
“Friedkins? I spoke to Dan and Ryan. I hadn’t spoken to the club chairman before the move. That definitely convinced me to come here. I would like to thank the Friedkin family for their trust.”
“Why did I choose Roma? Because it is one of the best Italian clubs and there is an important project in which I believe a lot. I hope we can do something interesting next season.”
“Roma is a very important and passionate club compared to Girona. I know there is a lot of pressure on me, but football without pressure is not football.”
“I feel a sense of responsibility, but it is an honour to play in Italy. So I will try to show my best football. I hope I can do the same in Italy. I want to score a lot of goals here.”
“I spoke to Daniele De Rossi. He explained his tactical ideas to me and then told me a little about the club. After that conversation, I felt positive and that’s why I made this choice.”
“Olympico? It’s a really great stadium. I’ve seen a lot of games at the Olimpico. There are always 70,000 fans, and it’s really special to play in front of that many people. I think a stadium like this gives you extra energy.”
