World No. 1 Iga Swatek (23) has added Belgian Wim Fisset, who has coached top players such as Naomi Osaka, Kim Clijsters and Viktoria Azarenka, to the team, Paul (23) announced on Thursday.

Earlier this month, the five-time Grand Slam champion split from her coach Tomasz Wiktorowski after three years.

Wiktorowski joined Swiatek’s team before the 2022 season and has been with her for four of her five Grand Slam titles, including three French Open titles.

“We are delighted to announce that Wim Fissette has joined our team,” Swiatek said on social media platform X.

“As you know, I am preparing for the WTA finals, but my perspective, as always, is long-term, not short-term. I have said many times that my career is a marathon, not a sprint, and it is through this approach that I work, operate and make decisions. I’m sorry.

“I would like to say that I am very happy and looking forward to working with Wim. He seems to have a great attitude, vision and tremendous experience at the highest level of tennis. It is always important to try to get to know each other, but we are off to a good start. “I’m working on it and I want to compete soon.”
