Mercedes hasn’t bursts champagne yet, but the team spent spring after the season’s test, and he was convinced that he had ironed Gremrin, who had bothered the arrow last season.
The German team has a high pile. Mercedes had a hard time with frustration since the F1 started the earth effect in 2022.
The W15 was associated with prospering one weekend, sleeping next time and tracking conditions such as the weather in the storm.
Bahrain’s chilly test day hasn’t completely poured out beans about whether W16 is treated, as suggested by the team leader Toto Wolff, but the initial atmosphere is positive for Andrew Shovlin, the costume track side engineering director.
With George Russell and Rookie Andrea Kimi Antonelli, Mercedes bent seriously reliable muscles.
SHOVLIN is shining on the progress, and the countdown to Melbourne is ready to dig up the data and clean up the new toy.
The 2025 season is a dog fight and Mercedes is in a thick place.
Step forward
SHOVLIN was not good at reflecting the Bahrain test.
“We have been tested for three days in Bahrain.”
The W15’s laundry list, such as unpredictable handling and sensitivity to conditions, is burning midnight oil during the winter. Now he is optimistic.
“The team has worked hard during the winter to improve the weaknesses of the W15, and in the early signs, we seem to have taken good action in that area.”
It’s not a win, but it’s a start. And Rap Count backs up him.
SHOVLIN said, “The evidence of the efforts of everyone in Brackley and Brixworth is evidence that all teams can complete the most rap of all teams.
It’s not just busy. It is a signal that obtains the legs of the W16 even if the cool Bahrain air covers some of the true speed. Reliability is a powerful basis for desperate teams to abandon inconsistency.
Launch the data
As the season opener is approaching in Australia, SHOVLIN is already planning the next movement.
“Next week, we will select this data to evaluate the improvement area and bring the most effective racing cars for the first race in Melbourne in two weeks,” he said.
The W16 is an ongoing task and can be adjusted with the promise of the weak margin in 2025.
Russell reflects emotions, “We edited important data and knowledge that provides more opportunities to improve than Melbourne.”
However, SHOVLIN keeps the card close according to the Peck King command.
“Of course, it’s too early to predict the competitive order,” he warned.
“But we expect to be satisfied with how the test went and to go to Australia to start the 2025 season.”
MCLAREN’s MCL39 can be the first favorite thing. Russell says, “It is not surprising to see some of our competitors, especially Mclaren, which looks strong.” But Mercedes does not catch it forever.
Preparation
Russell, a senior driver, was mirrored.
“We spent three days in Bahrain for three days in the previous test. The teams of Brackley, Brixworth and Here Trackside have done great things to prepare for tests and build a lot of mileage. ”
“The car is working well,” he said.
Russell has been rare for a team that fights chaos in recent years.
“KIMI and I will be in the factory by driving the simulator next week, and everyone will be flat so that we all do our best in Australia. I can’t wait to start. ”
SHOVLIN’s crew feels the same. Along with the W16, “Good Stairs” is a life line and is an opportunity to abandon the baggage of 2024 and give a slug with the leader.
The data is in hand, the rap is recorded, and Mercedes is trying to change the promise to the podium. Australia is where the truth comes out.
