Next season has already begun for the Dallas Cowboys. The Dallas Cowboys went 7-10 in 2024 and missed the playoffs despite fielding a star-studded roster.

After parting ways with Mike McCarthy, they’ve talked to head coaching candidates, but need some reinforcement throughout the roster. It’s top-heavy and severely lacking in several positions.

One of the few position groups the Cowboys don’t need much help with is cornerback, with veteran star Trevon Diggs and young stud DaRon Bland.

Both were plagued by injuries in 2024, most notably Diggs, who was limited to 11 games due to a knee injury.

According to Todd Archer, Diggs underwent cartilage graft surgery on his left knee on Thursday and, unfortunately for Dallas, could cause him to miss at least part of training camp this summer.

That left knee is the same knee that Diggs tore his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) early in the 2023 season after playing in just two games.

He was named to the Pro Bowl in 2021 and 2022, and in his second year in the NFL in 2021, he dominated the league with 21 passes defended and a league-high 11 interceptions, two of which he ran for touchdowns. I went. As a result, he was selected to the All-Pro First Team.

Dallas has been competitive in recent years thanks to its defense, but it leaves Diggs vulnerable if he doesn’t lock down opposing wide receivers.
