Chido Obi-Martin has finally become a Manchester United player.
The 16-year-old decided to leave Arsenal at the end of last season and signed a contract with United, but his move was delayed by the need to agree a compensation amount with the Gunners.
Last week it was reported that the Premier League had agreed figures to allow the move to be ratified.
And the youngster took to social media this evening to share the news that he has finally joined the Red Devils.
“It’s a dream come true. I’m very happy and proud to join my dream club.” He posted on
“No one can understand how excited I am right now and I want to see you. “Unite for life!”
Dreams come true,

The news has been confirmed united website Written by Academy Manager Nick Cox.
“We are delighted to welcome Samuel Rousail, Chido Obi-Martin and James Overy to the club,” Cox said.
“All three young players will join us in our professional development as they adapt to life in Manchester and get to know their new team-mates.
“It can be a difficult process for some players, but others can get involved right away. Whatever the scenario, our staff will look after these young boys and ensure that their experience at the Academy is an overwhelmingly positive experience that sets them up. For life.
“We wish Samuel, Chido and James the best of luck. Our recruitment team have done a great job and congratulations to the families and wider support network involved in these boys’ journey. Signing for Manchester United will be a proud day for everyone involved.”
All three signings are seen as huge coups for the Red Devils, but Chido Obi in particular, 16, is probably the most exciting prospect in English football at his age group for many years.
It is yet to be seen at what level he will begin his life at United.
The obvious landing spot is the Under-18s, but with Gabriele Biancheri rising above that level, Chido Obi could quickly progress to the Under-21s.
In fact, around the time this news broke, Fabrizio Romano was reported to have agreed terms with United that would see him become their third striker, following Rasmus Hoslund and Josh Zirkzy.
If so, he could train with the first team and perhaps even sit on the bench for cup matches. This is especially true if one of your key strikers gets injured.
