Ivan Juric insists Roma are “moving in the right direction” despite losing to Elfsborg.

Roma manager Ivan Juric has held talks with the capital club following the Giallorossi’s defeat to Elfsborg.

The Croatian technician did not sound too pessimistic after the game in Sweden, where Roma lost 1-0 to the hosts.

“We did a lot of good things but not enough to score. We created a lot but lacked quality in our shots and final passes,” he said.

“We controlled the game well for long periods of time and paid the price when we fell short.”

“We’ve had huge costs and some somewhat random fines,” he added.

“I have seen the team taking steps in the right direction. We need to improve in terms of winning the ball back and preventing it.”

“Of course it’s hard to have hope after a loss, but overall I feel like we’ve done a good job.”

“We have to improve our quality first, but we have created a lot without scoring. I need to improve my passing and body position, but the game was good. “I have confidence in this team,” he said.
