There are countless video clips of left-wing journalists distraught upon realizing that Donald Trump won last night’s election, but Jake Tapper’s may have been targeted.
Once a right-wing journalist, Tapper went to CNN, where she slowly changed in thinking and looking like Rachel Maddow, and was given data showing President Biden’s performance in the election compared to Kamala Harris’s.
Harris performed worse overall in this election than Biden did in 2020. Totally. Likewise, not a single outlier county in the country saw her as a better candidate.
When presented with a map showing which counties she fared better in, the entire map turned gray. It was grayed out except for a small section on the eastern side that contained the menu.
“Such a cigarette!” Tapper answered, shaking slightly.

Trump has enormous power
Donald Trump made a surprising comeback in the election last night. By any measure, it was an explosive event. In a sane world it would have been a Reagan-style landslide.
Republicans also flipped the Senate and appear to be in good shape to retain the House. He received a mandate from the American people.
Jake Tapper and his crew probably won’t have a normal life today.

Trump’s campaign resonated with a significant portion of the electorate by focusing on key issues such as economic revival, immigration reform and a return to traditional values.
Maybe that’s what hurts Tapper and CNN the most.
