Number one seed Yannick Sinner has a busy schedule ahead of him on Saturday at the Omnium Banque National hosted by Rogers. The Italian will have to do both to reach the semi-finals and continue his title defence.

The 22-year-old, one of several players who will play two matches in one day due to rain canceling all of his matches in Montreal on Friday, will play No. 15 seed Alejandro Tabilo on Court Central before 12:30 p.m. local time. The winner will return to the same court before 7 p.m. to face No. 5 seed Andrey Rublev or qualifier Brandon Nakashima in the quarterfinals.

Following Sinner and Tabilo on Court Central, a third-round blockbuster between second seed Alexander Zverev and 13th seed Holger Rune takes place. Zverev and Rune are tied at 1-1 in the Lexus ATP Head2Head series, with the German winning his most recent match in five sets at Roland Garros this year.

Kei Nishikori will look to improve on his record at the ATP Masters 1000 event and starts the day with a third-round match against Portugal’s Nuno Borges. The winner will end the evening session at Court Central with a quarter-final match against Alejandro Davidovich Fokina or Matteo Arnaldi.

There are still three second-round matches remaining, two of which have yet to start: No. 4 seed Hubert Hurkacz vs. Thanasi Kokkinakis and an All-American showdown between Taylor Fritz and Sebastian Korda. The winner of Fritz and Korda will then take on No. 6 seed Casper Ruud after a well-deserved rest.

In the other second round match, Frenchman Arthur Linderkneck beat Flavio Cobolli 3-0, 15/15 with the Italian serving. The winner will face Hurkacs or Kokkinakis on Saturday after a well-deserved rest.

This year’s Canadian ATP Masters 1000 tournament began on Tuesday, a day later than usual due to the Paris Olympics. The final is scheduled for Monday.
