Travis Hunter has yet to play a single NFL football game, but he’s been a hot topic around the league for quite some time.
It’s not uncommon for a player without a defined position, but his game has nothing in common.
Hunter has excelled at both wide receiver and cornerback and has spoken repeatedly about his desire to play both sides of the ball in the pros, but scouts and executives likely don’t want him to do so.
With that in mind, NFL insider Jay Glazer looked across the league to determine whether decision-makers consider him a wide receiver or a cornerback.
In response to FOX Sports’ NFL pregame coverage, Glazer revealed that only one executive claimed he was looking at Hunter as a wide receiver.
Most said they view him as a cornerback.

Glazer cited Hunter’s elite ball skills as the reason. This is because it is not easy to find a shutdown corner with such skills.
Wide receivers, on the other hand, are somewhat easier to find.
Hunter has been on the field almost every step of the way during his college career, and doing so in the pros won’t be easy.
The seasons are longer, the games are more physical and the stakes are much higher.
And considering how explosive the wide receiver market has been over the past few years, maybe he’ll end up having a say in what position he plays.
