Jennifer Lopez may have something to say about her divorce from Ben Affleck.
But it’s not overly profound.
On August 31, the singer and actress shared several selfies and sexy snapshots on Instagram, captioning them simply and meaningfully.
Ah, summer has come.
When it comes to Lopez’s personal life, this seems like a huge understatement.
Rumors of an impending breakup have been circulating for weeks after the A-list star barely spent any time with her estranged husband.
Lopez and Affleck put their home on the market in June, which makes it hard to believe that divorce isn’t inevitable.
But J. Lo seems to have left her romantic fate in the hands of a higher power.
“Everything is unfolding according to divine order,” she wrote in this new social media post.
The message came 11 days after Lopez filed to end her marriage after two years of marriage.
Lopez cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the breakup in her divorce filing, listed the separation date as April 26, and requested that she and Ben not receive spousal support.
The superstar and Affleck were engaged in 2004, but later ended their relationship and dated and married someone else.
They rekindled their romance in 2021 and secretly tied the knot in July 2022 in Georgia before throwing a huge wedding reception for family and friends.
It was like a fairy tale at the time.
Now, sadly, it has turned into a nightmare. Some reports say the couple started having problems during their honeymoon.
Ultimately, Affleck appears to have given up completely on the divorce, although he has yet to speak publicly about it.
“Ben almost gave Jen the lawsuit and the divorce as a parting gift,” a source recently told In Touch Weekly. “He really doesn’t care and he gave up a long time ago.”
That’s a really unfortunate conclusion, isn’t it?
