Jets, Giants perfectly capture the misery of 2024.

This part of the column is for you Jets fans, and for you Giants fans who are looking at all this from 30,000 feet with cold eyes and cold hands and deciding the wisest course of action. The way to act is to cheer, cheer, cheer for the home team to lose, lose, lose, lose more, every game, week after week, until they lock all the football in the closet.

I tell you this: congratulations.

I tell you this: good job. The Jets scared you there for most of the game and even forced you to wait an extra 4 minutes and 55 seconds before walking away with a hard-earned loss. The Giants surprised you when they finally realized that the Saints were just as scary a football team as they were. All they had to do was easily knock down a 35-yard ball upright and you would have had free football.

You don’t need it. Bryan Bresee jumped over the Giants O-line on a bounce, blocked Graham Gano’s kick, and delivered a well-crafted loss with his hand as Brian Daboll came off the field.
