Sen. John Fetterman (D-Pa.) was asked about Trump’s running mate J.D. Vance’s accusations that Democrats were behind the assassination attempt on Trump, and he slammed Vance’s claims.

Let me ask you another question about the second assassination attempt on former President Trump. This week, his running mate, JD Vance, followed up with this: Take a look.

Senator JD VANCE:
The biggest difference between conservatives and liberals is that no one tried to kill Kamala Harris. Over the past few months, and two people have tried to kill Donald Trump. Over the past few months. I would say that it is strong evidence that the left needs to tone down the investigation and get rid of this garbage. Someone is going to get hurt by this.

Kristen Welker:
Senator, what is your response to Senator J.D. Vance?
Senator John Fetterman:
I don’t know. Who actually listens to what Vance says? It’s been months. Nobody listens to him anymore. You know, he’s kind of developed this reputation of saying stupid things, meaningless things, and offending everyone. And he’s been voted the most unpopular person in history. But nobody listens to him. I definitely don’t. And here I am.
Kristen Welker:
But the nature of his accusations, he said, is “I would say that this is strong evidence that the left needs to tone down its rhetoric and close this vacuum.” What do you think about that specific part of what he said?
Senator John Fetterman:
Now, that’s completely ridiculous. Every Democrat has condemned the assassination attempt, and so have I. And you know, they’re talking about eating dog and saying weird things. Now, let’s stop talking about the empty rhetoric of someone like JD Vance and have a serious conversation about this election.

Senator Fetterman was right. JD Vance always performs for an audience of one person, his running mate. Vance is a shameless guy who is currently involved in a campaign that is failing, so he says stupid and outrageous things.
No one has done more damage to himself and his future in this campaign than JD Vance. Vance is now a creepy, weird joke, and while he will likely run for the Republican nomination in 2028, JD Vance is probably finished as a national politician.
