There are still many excellent defenders and famous players left on the free agent market.

One such player is former Broncos safety Justin Simmons.

Simmons, who is still looking for his next home, recently spoke with Denver News about his current situation.

“Of course it would be really nice to know where I’m going right now… but ultimately I think it’s challenging me in a positive way,” Simmons said. said Brady King of Denver 7 News.

It’s a bit shocking that Simmons is still playing without a team.

The Pro Bowl safety has the most interceptions at his position since entering the league in 2016 (30).

He recorded 70 or more tackles and multiple interceptions in five of his eight seasons in the NFL.

His most impressive season came in 2022, when he tied for first in the league with six interceptions despite appearing in just 12 games.

By many opinions, he is the best safety left on the market today.

With Pro Bowl safety Jamal Adams recently transferring to Tennessee as a free agent, Simmons has another one off his roster.

When you sign a 30-year-old, you’re signing the type of player who can win right away.

He can play in the box and fill in the run support void.

Alternatively, as his interception numbers show, he could step back and play center field.

He remains one of the most complete defenders in the National Football League.

Look for a quality team in the transfer market who will soon give a 9-year veteran a chance.
