Manchester United snapped a four-game losing streak as Newcastle secured a comfortable 2-0 win at Old Trafford on Monday.

The team appears incapable of carrying out Ruben Amorim’s instructions and INEOS’ decision to support Erik ten Hag summer appears to have been even worse in retrospect.

The signing was aimed at keeping in mind the former Netherlands coach’s counter-attacking style of play, with INEOS perplexed and bringing in a coach with the exact opposite brand of football.

His style is to play with two number 10s alongside an elite striker, but against the Magpies, Amorim had to play Joshua Zirkzee as one of the attacking midfielders in the absence of the suspended Bruno Fernandes.

Zirkzee will likely leave in January

The experiment ended in failure, with the Netherlands international being sent off after 33 minutes to the ironic cheers of the home crowd.

The cruel call may have signaled the end of the Dutch forward’s stay in Manchester, with three Serie A clubs, including his former club Bologna, fighting for his signature in January.

As revealed by TutosportJuventus, currently managed by former Bologna boss Thiago Motta, are desperate for reinforcements to attack and Motta wants his former pupil to join him.

However, the Turin-based team have no intention of paying over the odds and are looking at a loan deal with an option to buy if certain conditions, such as Champions League qualification, are met.

Juventus reviewing loan deal

“The road to Joshua Zirkzee is more open than ever, and we hope to accelerate our progress after January 6. It’s a positive sign for now as the Dutchman continues to dissuade Manchester United.

“But it will be difficult to immediately recoup the $50 million invested in Zirczy. At least not at Juventus, who are actually making onerous loans with repayment rights tied to certain conditions (eligibility for the next Champions League). , e.g. required.)

With Marcus Rashford’s future also in doubt and Rasmus Hojlund also struggling, Amorim will need reinforcements before they are given the green light.

A loan with an option to buy would not be an ideal solution for the Red Devils as they would need to raise funds through player sales to make any signings in January this year. It will be very interesting to see whether INEOS will accept such an offer.
