This is one of the most accurate recent polls in Pennsylvania. They had a 1-point lead in the 2020 presidential election and a 1-point lead for Josh Shapiro in the 2022 gubernatorial election. They missed the Fetterman Senate race, where Oz had a 1-point lead, but that was a race where almost every Pennsylvania poll underestimated support for John Fetterman.
Looking beyond the numbers, the recent Pennsylvania poll is consistent with other polls showing Harris up 3-5 percentage points over the final Trump/Biden numbers.
The tide has turned, and Democrats and independents who were concerned that Joe Biden was moving firmly toward Harris are making moves.
Vice President Harris has yet to choose a running mate, and her support in the Keystone State would be boosted if she picks Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro.
What is certain is that the outcome in Pennsylvania will be a close race.
