It’s not over until it’s over. When the Las Vegas Aces had all the momentum and the series lead in Game 3, New York converted the energy and secured the win to advance to the finals.

A’ja Wilson rocks an all-black fit in the tunnel.…and then records a double-double.
It’s okay, we all think so. No one is going to mess with A’ja Wilson anyway. Especially after she debuted her all-black fit before Game 3 of her WNBA Finals. A black Air Force 1 sent a message. She and the Aces are working to solidify another ring.
Despite the loss, Wilson recorded a double-double of 16 points and 11 points.
France shows support for Marine Johannes
In France, there is a true “famille de basket-ball”, which translates to “basketball family” in English. Earlier in the WNBA Finals, Liberty wing Marine Johannès expressed her support for French Player of the Year winner Victor Wembanyama. Tony Parker and Wembenyama himself returned the favor this weekend. Parker pulled up in Game 3 to speak directly with Liberty’s sharpshooter, and Wemby took the no. 23 Liberty jersey and showed his love ahead of preseason games. A game that respects the game.

Jonkel Jones Departs
The 2021 WNBA MVP has DAWGG. Jones said more than once, “No, no, no, not today.” She received a total of three rejections, including one where she threw what looked like an easy layup into her court-side seat.
Not only was she hosting a block party in Brooklyn, she was here doing everything from grabbing rebounds and tossing coins to Betnijah Laney. JJ was on her bag and she delivered a must-win game.
Joan Jett loves rock and roll and freedom.
It was a win-or-go-home situation for the New York Liberty, and longtime Liberty fan and rock legend Joan Jett was there to see it all. She didn’t have a voodoo doll this time, but her presence was all it took to turn her luck into New York’s favor. Will she participate in Game 4?
Stewie blocks A’ja and Kelsey in just a few minutes.
There’s a reason Breanna Stewart was selected to the All-Defensive First Team. Late in the third quarter, with Vegas struggling to get back into the contest, Wilson attempted an elite midrange fadeaway, but Stewie had other plans. Go watch the clip and then play it again. Stewie’s daughter Ruby was back in action after Game 3 in what was arguably Sunday’s best moment. The highlight was when Stewie, Sandy Brondello and Jones tried to answer questions after the game. Ruby, who was next to me, was constantly walking up and down the stairs leading to the stage. She was in the mood right away.
