Indian cricket team’s wrist spinner Kuldeep Yadav has praised top pacer Jasprit Bhumara and said he is very lucky to have the speedster as his teammate. He also called Bhumara the best bowler in all forms of the game at present.

The Chinaman bowler praised Bumrah for his crucial contribution in the historic ICC T20 World Cup 2024 held in the USA and West Indies, saying that Bumrah has always come through for Team India whenever a star pacer is needed.

Kuldeep Yadav, Jasprit Bhumara are among the rare talents in world cricket

He also said Bumrah is a rare bowler. Yadav mentioned that Bumrah deserves all the praise for his incredible effort with the ball, citing his match-winning performances in crucial moments such as the recent T20 World Cup 2024 group match against Pakistan and the final against South Africa.

Revsportz quoted Kuldeep Yadav as saying, “100%, Jasprit Bhumara is the best bowler in all formats right now. We both started our international careers almost at the same time. He has always fought for the team. I am glad to have him as my teammate. He deserves all the praise.

He has won many games in crunch situations. In this T20 World Cup, he brought us back into the game against Pakistan. In the final, he bowled a tight over that gave away only 4 runs, and Heinrich Klaassen was out in the next over. Bowlers like him are very rare. His value to the team is priceless.”

In particular, whenever the Men in Blue were in trouble, Bumrah took charge and continued to deliver good results, playing a key role in the team’s 2024 T20 World Cup triumph.

Bumrah won the Player of the Tournament award in the 2024 T20 World Cup after taking 15 wickets in eight matches at a stunning average of 8.26 and an economy rate of 4.17.

Kuldeep has also impressed with his handling of the ball in mega ICC events. However, it was in West Indies where he got his chance and took 10 wickets in five matches to play a key role in the team’s first World Cup win in 13 years.

Jasprit Bumrah named ICC Men’s Player of the Month for June

Meanwhile, Jasprit Bumrah has also achieved another important milestone in his esteemed career. In fact, Bumrah has solidified his status as one of the best fast bowlers in the world by winning the prestigious ‘ICC Men’s Player of the Month’ award in June 2024.

Bumrah told the ICC: “I am delighted to have been named the ICC Men’s Player of the Month for June. It is a special honour for me after a memorable few weeks in the USA and West Indies. There has been a lot to celebrate as a team and I am delighted to add this individual accolade to the list.”

In particular, Bumrah is likely to be rested for India’s white-ball tour of Sri Lanka later this month, along with Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. India will play three ODIs and three T20Is in Sri Lanka.
