LAS VEGAS, Neb. (AP) — Las Vegas Aces standout Kelsey Plum will not play in the new 3-on-3 women’s league, Unrivaled, saying she wants more time for herself in the offseason.

Plum posted her decision on social media this week. The Unrivaled League, co-founded by Napheesa Collier and Breanna Stewart, will begin its season on January 17 and host all games in Miami through March.

Plum was named to the roster for the Laces, one of six teams in the league. Players expected to play for the team include Kyla McBride and Courtney Williams of the Minnesota Lynx, Alyssa Thomas of the Connecticut Sun and Stephanie Dolson of the Washington Mystics.

Plum thanked the league for understanding his choice.

“I wish the league and all the players all the best and it’s exciting to watch!” Plum said in her post.

WNBA Rookie of the Year Caitlin Clark (Indiana) decided not to participate in the league.

Plum, 30, has played in 44 WNBA games (including playoffs) this season and was a member of the U.S. team that won gold at the Paris Olympics last summer.

Plum was selected to the WNBA All-Star Game for the third consecutive time.
