Liverpool have allowed left-back Owen Beck to go out on loan again this season, with the 22-year-old moving to the Championship to join Blackburn.

Beck, who spent last season with Scottish Premiership side Dundee, will be playing for Blackburn this season as they look to secure promotion.

John Eustace’s side sit third in the English second tier after two wins and a draw, with the Liverpool left-back facing competition from first-choice goalkeeper Harry Pickering.

Beck’s excellent form for Dundee last season attracted interest from several clubs, including Celtic and Rangers, who wanted to make his move permanent, but they ultimately decided to loan him out again.

The loan deal is the seventh loan deal Liverpool have approved this summer and their second to a Championship side following striker Luis Koumas’ move to Stoke.

Blackburn face Blackpool in the second round of the Carabao Cup on Tuesday night, but Beck is unlikely to be involved.

But his debut could come as early as Saturday, when Rovers visit Scott Parker’s Burnley in the first East Lancashire derby of the season.

Liverpool and Blackburn have enjoyed a fruitful relationship in recent years, with the likes of Harvey Elliott, Tyler Morton, Leighton Clarkson and Billy Koumeti all having spent time on loan at Ewood Park.

Elliott’s performances for Rovers are believed to have been instrumental in his development, allowing him regular first-team football before he established himself as a senior player at Anfield.

Beck, who turned 22 in August, is less likely to be included, but there is still a chance he could return to Arne Slott’s side next season.

Liverpool have loaned Luke Chambers and Kalvin Ramsey to Wigan, along with Beck and Koumas, Luka Stevenson to Dundee United, Rhys Williams to Morecambe and Fabian Mrozek to IF Brommapojkarna this summer.
