Howard Lutnick, the US Department of Commerce, warned that smartphones, computers, and other electronics imported from China to the United States will still face tariffs, and warn that they will deal with hope for large companies such as Apple, NVIDIA and Microsoft.

This weekend, Donald Trump’s administration excluded the phone and other consumer electronics products from the steep “mutual” tariffs in a significant boost of a technical organization where stocks plunged after the president solved the World Trade War of “Liberation Day.”

But if you talk about ABC This week Lutnik will be reviewed as a semiconductor as part of the government’s investigation on Sunday, which faced a separate tariff.

“What he is doing is to say that what he’s doing is exempt from mutual tariffs.”

LUTNICK said, “When I was asked to clarify whether I could come back in a month, I was asked:“ Yes. That’s right … we need medicines and semiconductors and electronics must be built in the United States. ”

Lutnick’s opinion will bring about business uncertainty about Trump’s tariff rollout. Trump’s tariff rolls were marked as a series of reversal of the stock price roller coaster and the US Treasury market last week.

According to the analyst, the softening of tariffs on imports of China will be a great victory for people like Microsoft and Apple, which creates about 80 %of the iPhone in China.

Over last week, Trump rattled with 145 %of China’s additional tariffs on China, even if they proposed a 90 -day suspension of “mutual” tariffs in other countries. The president has maintained 10 %tariffs on most US trading partners.

Peter Navarro, a White House trade adviser, said the US will talk to the trading partners on Sunday. “We’ve been pending for 90 days in 90 days in 90 days, and it was equal to this process.”

In response to Beijing’s retaliatory tariffs, the United States, which has increased, includes 20 %of tariffs in retaliation for the country’s role in pentanil production, along with 125 %of “mutual” tariffs.

The exemptions provided to consumer technology products on Friday only apply to mutual tariffs. All China’s income, including products exempt from mutual fees, still applies 20 %of additional tariffs, depending on Trump.

On Sunday, Beijing urged the White House to cancel the entire range of “mutual” tariffs, saying, “There is no winner in the trade war and there is no way to protect.”

China’s Commerce Department said, “It is a small stage for the United States to modify the wrong one -sided mutual tariffs,” he said.

The United States also added, “We must modify mistakes, cancel the wrong practices of mutual tariffs, and return to the right path of mutual respect.”
