Through a fuel roadmap developed by the FIA GT Committee and a partnership with ETS Racing Fuels, FIA GT World Cup participants will use 50% sustainable fuel for the 2023 competition. This marks the return of FIA racing to the streets. Macau for the first time since 2019.
The 50% sustainable drop-in solution was adopted last year as the first step in the transition to sustainable power sources, enabling smooth implementation of the fuel by competitors within a rather short period of time.
This year the FIA’s most prestigious GT3 competition achieved another notable environmental milestone. All 23 cars from six GT3 manufacturers will compete for the FIA GT World Cup powered by 100% sustainable fuel from ETS Racing Fuels’ Renewablaze line. .
The fuel, made from second-generation bio-components obtained from bio-waste, requires only minor engine mapping adjustments and has been thoroughly tested by GT3 manufacturers in preparation for this year’s FIA GT World Cup.
Earlier this year, ETS Racing Fuels received FIA 3-Star Environmental Certification, the highest level of recognition for environmental sustainability from the world’s motorsport governing body.
