Mats Hummels will step onto the pitch at Signal Iduna Park for the last time in his career.

This is the stadium where Hummels has spent most of his playing career, aside from a few seasons at Bayern Munich and a new adventure in Roma that started a few days ago.

Roma’s new number 15 returned to the German city to play a match organised by former teammates Piszczek and Blaszczykowski.

After his experience in Dortmund, the club wanted to present Hummels with a commemorative plaque as a thank you for his time together.

“With 508 official appearances for our club, you are second on the list of Borussia Dortmund’s record-breaking players. You have dedicated yourself and given your all for more than 13 years. You will forever be an important part of our history in yellow and black. Thank you, Mats!” a Borussia statement read.
