MoveOn Launches Ice Cream Truck Tour to Provide Free Ice Cream and GOTV for Harris and Democrats

Founders of Ben & Jerry’s, Jeni’s and Malai Team Up with MoveOn to “Gather Votes”

Washington DC – As reported USA TodayMoveOn Political Action will be launching their “Scoop the Vote” tour on September 16. The tour will see them drive an ice cream truck to key constituencies and districts, handing out free ice cream with special guests and continuing their efforts to reach and engage voters. Throughout the tour, MoveOn is partnering with a variety of local and national partners to expand their impact. They are partnering with the co-founder of Ben & Jerry’s. Ben Cohen and Jerry GreenfieldWe are giving away a free limited edition signed copy of Kamala’s Coconut Jubilee. MoveOn is also excited to announce that we are partnering with: Jenny BrittonFounder Jenny’s Ice Creamand Malay ice cream We stayed in New York City during the tour.

Following a kickoff event featuring Cohen and Greenfield in Philadelphia on September 16 and the opening of early voting in Pennsylvania, MoveOn’s Scoop the Vote Tour will visit more than 20 cities in key voting states and hold rallies in Michigan, Wisconsin, Arizona and Nevada. In addition to free ice cream and other freebies, the tour will feature elected officials, activists, and other special guests. At each stop, MoveOn will help attendees make plans to vote by November 5 and show voters how they can help their friends and family vote.

“While excitement and joy are on our side right now, we cannot overlook how close this election will be. Thousands of votes will determine whether we live in a democracy with Kamala Harris or an autocracy with Donald Trump,” he said. MoveOn Political Action Director Rahna Epting. “MoveOn’s Scoop the Vote ice cream truck tour will help us reach voters where they are and mobilize our communities to defeat Trump once and for all this fall.”

MoveOn will offer a variety of electric-themed ice cream flavors, including “Unburdened by What has Vanilla Bean,” “Inauguration Celebration Birthday Cake,” “Fight For Our Rights Sorbet,” and “MoveOn Mobilizer Milk Chocolate.” They’re also partnering with local scoop shops along the tour. MoveOn is also teaming up with Ben & Jerry’s co-founders Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield to raffle off a limited-edition Ben’s Best “Kamala’s Coconut Jubilee Ice Cream” treat. The Scoop the Vote tour supports the organization with $32 million. 2024 Election ProgramIt aims to persuade and mobilize rare “surge” voters in key areas to vote Democratic at the top and bottom of the ballot.
