Now I want to share why I chose each location. Each place holds a special place in my heart!
The book itself is called “Tuesday at 2:00 Trevi Fountain”… It has nothing to do with Italy. But I go there. Broadly speaking, it’s about taking risks, following your own path and dreams, and traveling. But it’s also about time. The time we can live is so short. I really live it. And this is my book struggling to make the most of it.
I will only go to cities that I have been to, explored, and personally like!
New York, NY – April 5 @ Mint House 4-7pm
The heart of America! When we moved home after living abroad, we took a boat home (with the dogs!) and arrived in New York. I remember hitting the pavement and feeling a joy like no other. I will also be doing a podcast with THE here. Erin McGough!
Boston, MA – April 7th at 2pm at I Am Books. Reply here!
If you’ve followed me for a while, you’ll know that I’m obsessed with fall. There is no better place in the world than fall in New England. Boston is a place I’ve been going to every year since I moved home from living abroad. It actually struck me as awe-inspiring, after traveling through Europe for so long, it never did anywhere else in the United States. The history here is one of my favorites on earth.
Denver, CO – April 8th at 6pm at the Halcyon Hotel. Add it to your calendar here!
The Mile High City is calling! Denver, with its breathtaking mountain scenery and vibrant cultural scene, has always held a special place in my heart. In the last four years I’ve lived in the US, I’ve visited Denver more than any other city! I want to stop here! I will be next time Reservations for Halcyon Hotel with Second Star to the Right open on April 8th at 6pm.!
New Orleans, Louisiana – April 9, 6 p.m. Garden District Bookstore **Must reply!
For publication day, I’m heading back to my roots: New Orleans! I was born in Dallas, but I thought I was from New Orleans until second grade. My family is from here and many still live here. I believe that if America has a body, its soul is New Orleans. Food, culture, history, music. It’s really an honor to be here. Garden District Bookstore The official publication date is here! You must reply. – Your ticket includes a signed book!
San Antonio, Texas – April 10, 6 p.m. nowhere bookstore
The heart of Texas history beats strong in San Antonio. From the hallowed grounds of The Alamo to the festive atmosphere along the Riverwalk, this city embodies the spirit of Texas like no other. This is a place that is personally important to me. We will celebrate my brother Michael’s birthday in style, surrounded by the city’s rich culture and heritage. I’m going to Nowhere Bookshop at 6pm April 10th!
Houston, Texas – April 11, 6:30 p.m. Thompson Hotel with basket book
This isn’t Texas… Oh wait, that’s right!!! Houston is a huge metropolis where cosmopolitan meets cowboy. This city has a dynamic energy that is both exciting and completely unique. From a space center where you can touch the stars to world-class restaurants and bustling streets filled with art, Houston exceeds expectations in every way. But the question is… who eats better food? Houston or Dallas? April 11th at 6:30pm at the Thompson Hotel with Basket Books!
Austin, Texas – April 12 at 5 p.m. hearth and soul * Must reply!
I am so excited to co-host this event with Melanie Demi. @herboozytails! It’s true: Austin, I love you so much! The live music capital of the world is a city that thrives on creativity and embraces the unconventional. What is my mood! I’ll be at Hearth & Soul on April 12th at 5pm! Please reply!!
Dallas, Texas – April 13, 4 p.m. Interlabang Books!
My house!!! I was born, raised and lived my whole life (except when I moved abroad!). I’m so happy to see you there! Dallas is more than just a stop on the map. It’s a celebration of roots, growth, and the endless possibilities that lie ahead. A part of my heart remains in Dallas, and I can’t wait to meet you all in person! I will be next time Interlabang Books Saturday, April 13th, 4pm!
Nashville, Tennessee – April 14 at 3 p.m. East Nashville Beer Works!
My second home! I lived in Nashville a year before moving abroad, and that figures prominently in the book. I owe so much to Nashville. This city gave me the strength to make my dreams come true. And while it’s very popular, it also feels secretly special in some ways. The history and culture surrounding music, food, and life outside of Broadway are incomparable. I’m so excited to be in Nashville! I will be next time East Nashville Beer partners with Landmark Bookstore!
