His work is so vast and encompasses so many genres that, in fact, Nolan’s fans often fiercely debate what his best work is. But if you’re a science fiction fan, there’s no doubt about it. first The director’s masterpiece is now available to stream in enthralling perfection on Netflix.

Basically, we follow the misadventures of a group of experts who infiltrate the dreams of corporate tycoons and extract important trade secrets from their subconscious. The leader of the group is hired to do something thought impossible: plant an idea into someone’s head, rather than simply steal information. Despite perfect planning, the operation soon goes sideways and our protagonists must fight for their lives in a reality where the rules are constantly changing, threatening to turn the dreamscape of their subconscious into a deadly nightmare.

first It looks like it will appeal to Netflix viewers thanks to its incredible cast, starting with Leonardo DiCaprio as a dream thief hired to implant ideas into the subconscious of his targets, played by Cillian Murphy. Ken Watanabe plays the businessman who hires him, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt plays his partner who helps plan the heist. Other celebrities, including Elliot Page and Tom Hardy, make up DiCaprio’s team, and our protagonist is haunted by the dreamscapes of his ex-wife, played perfectly by Marion Cotillard.

You’ll definitely see money on screen thanks to the larger-than-life images and trippy visuals used to bring your subconscious to life. Fortunately for Christopher Nolan and Warner Bros., this big-budget gamble paid off equally well. The film went on to earn a respectable $839 million at the box office, cementing its place in Hollywood history while being the source of endless hilarious memes.
