With the recent news of starting tight end Darren Waller retiring, the New York Giants will be trying out several veterans at minicamp this week, along with others at different positions.

Coach Brian Daboll said the team is always trying to improve its roster and free up additional cap space with Waller off the roster.

The Giants are already full, but there’s always room for more. Noah Togiai, an undrafted free agent out of Oregon in 2017, appeared in eight NFL games. Former Mississippi State Bulldog Geor’quarius Spivey is also being tested.

Cornerback Tre Herndon III, who has 83 games of experience (34 starts) with the Jacksonville Jaguars, will also receive a tryout, as will 6-foot-7 offensive tackle Kellen Diesch.

In addition to these qualifiers, UFL running back Jacob Saylors visits East Rutherford.
