Niger’s military leaders freely made free ministers, but the president was not kicked out.

Niger’s military leaders released more than 50 prisoners, including the former minister of the government, which collapsed in 2023.

Among them, the former defense minister, oil and finance ministers, as well as some senior military officers were accused of convicted or planning a previous coup.

President Mohamed Bazome, who received a household pension since the acquisition of military in 2023, was not on the list of people released despite international demands.

When the BBC asked about President Baz’s continuous detention, Attorney General Aliyou daouda cited “national security and sovereignty.”

Attorney General Aliyou daouda told the BBC, “his release of the release is Niger’s internal problem and related to Niger.”

Bazoum is accused of undermining national security and rebellion.

The release of others is one of the recommendations of the national meeting held in February, and expands the rules of General Abdourahamane Tiani for five years.

Since the coup in July 2023, Free Secretary and officials have been arrested and brought to General Tchiani to power and were accused of undermining national security and authority.

This movement can be attempted by Junta to adjust the state and get public support.

Similar pardons were also given by the military government of Bourkina Paso and Guinea.
