Greek side AEK Athens have officially confirmed the signing of former Manchester United striker Anthony Martial.
Martial left United in the summer when his contract expired, ending his nine-year spell at Old Trafford.
The Frenchman made 317 appearances for the Red Devils, scoring 90 goals and providing 47 assists.
He made 19 appearances in all competitions during his final season at the club, scoring just two goals.
Despite being a free agent, Martial failed to find a new club during the summer transfer window.
He was reportedly linked with a move to Brazilian club Flamengo, but the move fell through due to his excessive wage demands.
According to previous reports by The Peoples Person, AEK Athens have offered the 28-year-old the biggest contract in the club’s 100-year history.
It was recently revealed that Martial has finally agreed terms with the Greek giants. Sports 24 The forward is said to be worth £2.5million per season at AEK.
The outlet reports that he will sign a three-year contract and will earn a total of £7.5 million including bonuses.
AEK confirmed Martial’s arrival via their official social media.

The club have been very busy during the transfer window, bringing the likes of former Tottenham Hotspur player Erik Lamela, former Juventus midfielder Roberto Pereira and Brentford goalkeeper Thomas Strakosha to the Greek capital.
AEK were set to sign Fofana on loan from Chelsea’s David Dart with the option of a permanent transfer at the end of the temporary loan period, but talks collapsed at the last minute.
Martial will be looking to overcome injuries and consistent poor performances to get his career back on the right track.
