OFFICIAL Grid: Where will Norris start in Austria as he tries to overtake Verstappen?

MONews
1 Min Read

Just like in Spain last time, we have Verstappen-Norris on the front row in Austria. Unlike Spain, the gap between them in qualifying was significant. This means the pole-sitting world champion will have the starting advantage and his McLaren rivals will be desperate for a perfect escape.

Looking to crash the Turn 1 party (if not literally) will be the second-row drivers, Mercedes’ George Russell and Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz. Their teammates Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc are just behind them in the third row.

Report: Verstappen takes lead in Austria, ahead of Norris and Russell

Oscar Piastri finished seventh with his sister McLaren after his best Q3 lap was disallowed due to exceeding track limits, followed by Sergio Perez, almost two places behind his famous Red Bull team-mate. Haas’ Nico Hulkenberg and Alpine’s Esteban Ocon completed the top 10 in the Spielberg category.
