One of the players the New York Giants will steal from the Dallas Cowboys

The New York Giants (1-2) host the Dallas Cowboys (1-2) on Thursday night at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey in their Week 4 primetime game.

Of course, this gives us here at Giants Wire a chance to theoretically steal players off the Cowboys’ roster to find depth and/or talent upgrades for Big Blue.

In this scenario, you’d always want to add linebacker Micah Parsons, but with Kayvon Thibodeau and Brian Burns under contract, that’s more of a wish than a real need.

There are also guards named Tyler Smith and Zack Martin, but they also fall into the same category as Parsons.

Let’s be honest? The Cowboys’ entire roster isn’t as attractive as it used to be. With the Giants addressing several areas of need and Dallas doing almost nothing last offseason, the options are narrow. Much narrower than in recent years.

We could take the easy way out and bring in quarterback Dak Prescott, but that doesn’t feel like a game changer at this point. So instead, we’ll upgrade the cornerback position by stealing Trevon Diggs.

Diggs hasn’t had the best start to the season and has struggled significantly on the running side, but he would still be a big upgrade when paired with Dionte Banks, who also struggled against the Cleveland Browns in Week 3.

The two-time All-Pro earned the highest overall grade (80.7) in 2023 and will likely bounce back this season. Still just 26, Diggs is in the prime of his career, and the Giants should benefit greatly from his tight coverage and ball-hawking ability.

What do you think, Giants fans? Would you pick Trevon Diggs? Or would you steal a completely different player from the Dallas Cowboys?
