We’ve had some interesting weather here in Los Angeles this summer (a hurricane and an earthquake on the same day, some rain and the pinkest sky I’ve ever seen, punctuated by rainbows!!). As we enter September, changes are being felt. The leaves change from cool tones to warm reds, oranges and even pinks. It’s a time when Mother Nature shows off her versatility, so it seems like the perfect time to share our latest news. Opalhouse designed by Jungalow The collection has arrived!
This collection is inspired by the changing seasons. We’ve included nods to the winds of change, such as the pinwheel motif seen on some of our products. throw and decorative pillow. Cool night breezes and cool temperatures are sweet news that autumn is just around the corner. I don’t know about you, but fall makes me want to spend more time at home. I think this speaks to our human connection to nature and that even in modern society we are still tied to the earth seasonally and need more rest in the fall (and winter) when it gets colder and darker outside. I love the idea of balancing what happens outdoors with a warm, inviting, jewel-like indoor situation.
To me, fall also symbolizes a time of gatherings. Connect with loved ones, invite people over for a meal, and share in the rich and slow pace of the season. I’m looking forward to what I’ll be doing in the coming weeks. The appearance of open hands is an expression of welcoming guests in any space.
