After doing so, the newly announced 2025 Alpine Reserve driver was able to stay within 1.5 seconds of Bortoleto, with Hadjar more than four seconds behind in third as they entered the final stage.
But Bortoleto couldn’t get the five-second lead he needed. Despite crossing the line in P1, he dropped to P3 in the final classification, giving Aron his first Formula 2 win and promoting Hadjar to second.

Behind the trio was MP Motorsport’s Oliver Goethe in fourth place in his Red Bull livery, while Dino Beganovic was making his F2 debut with DAMS Lucas Oil. Ranked 5th.
Christian Mansell took sixth from 20th for Trident ahead of Hitech’s Amaury Cordeel and Van Amersfoort Racing debutant John Bennett, with Rodin Motorsport’s Zane Maloney and Ritomo Miyata rounding out the points.
This means the championship battle heads to Abu Dhabi, where Bortoleto leads Hadjar by just half a point, while third-placed Aron, on 163 points, has an outside chance of winning the title.
