Details: Full-time, 1-year contract (guaranteed parental leave) (4-day work week, Monday-Thursday, 28 hours a week)

Salary: $99,497 CAD per year (this amount is prorated for partial years of service)

Role Introduction

Greenpeace Canada (GPC) is seeking a Director of People & Culture (DPC) to lead and manage the development and delivery of the organization’s People Strategy and ensure the right human resources and learning and development systems are in place to support it. Additionally, DPC builds relationships across all operations that inspire and motivate employees to work closely together and achieve consistency and strength of leading practices.

DPC models and drives the organization’s culture, purpose and values ​​in line with Greenpeace Canada’s mission and strategy. That is, it defines priorities and requirements to support the organization’s strategic plan. We are focused on achieving program impact. This will allow DPC to increase the level of strategic partnerships and increase the organizational value of the People and Culture team.

The position will lead the development of talent strategy and the continued evolution of the organization’s culture. We provide expertise and support in the areas of change management, performance management, employee relations, employee engagement, employee and union relations and engagement, justice, equity, diversity, inclusion and safety (JEDIS), policy and procedure development, and HR compliance.
