Pink Starburst Shot – A Beautiful Mess

Ingredients for Pink Starburst Shot

  • Vanilla Vodka – Choose flavors like vanilla vodka, whipped cream vodka, or cake vodka.
  • Watermelon Pucker – You can use any flavor, pucker, schnapps (pink is recommended, of course). Strawberry is also a good choice.
  • Sweet and sour mix – Use commercially available sour mix or our homemade sour mix recipe.
  • pink sugar – Optional decoration on the rim of the glass.

The best glass for this recipe is a traditional shot glass.

Begin by rimming the shot glass with pink sugar. I didn’t have any pink sugar or sprinkles, so I just colored the sugar pink with a drop of food coloring.

In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine vanilla vodka, watermelon pucker, and sour mix. Shake for 10-15 seconds until well chilled.

Pour into prepared shot glass. Garnish rim with pink starburst or use cocktail pick.

Tips for making

  • Pink Starburst Cocktail – To convert this recipe from a shot to a cocktail, simply double the recipe and serve it in a cocktail glass instead of a shot glass. It’s also great for sipping.
  • Decoration Ideas – For a more festive version, top with Cool Whip with pink sprinkles. I like to use pink Starburst candies as decoration.
  • If you don’t have a cocktail shaker, you can use a mason jar (or a water bottle with an airtight lid) to shake this recipe. Don’t worry!
