(6 points is average)
I don’t know – 8 – Mee looked very good, questioning how many good saves he would make, looking very adept with the ball at his feet and even making a couple of very difficult passes to start play.
Habib Ogunye – 8 – A great performance from back to front. He made a few important tackles at the back without changing the winger. Moving forward, he followed the right wing very well, using his strength to shrug off challenges and rush into space. His fantastic run opened the play ahead of Mather’s goal.
Tyler Fredrickson – 7.5 – Fredriksson had a very good game, passing quickly from behind. Looks to be back in his prime after a long injury hiatus. Strong defensively and good in the air.
Jack Kingdon – 7 – Defended the box well for the most part but gave it back too easily for Igor Tikhon’s goal.
tommy rowe – 6.5 – Decent performance from the player-coach, made some good tackles in defence and kept his composure when in possession.
Finley McAllister – 5 – It was a poor day for McAllister. His passing was erratic and he was isolated at the bottom of midfield. He couldn’t cover ground quickly enough to stop Blackburn running freely through the backline.
Reuben Curley – 7 – There were a few loose passes in midfield but overall they linked well with the attack and were a threat with their own attempts. They also pressed well up the pitch but left gaps in front of the back line. However, given the similarities seen with the first team, this may be due to tactical planning rather than Curley’s application.
malaki sharp – 7 – Provided the assist for Ennis’ goal to open the scoring with a good cross after working very hard to keep the ball in play. He looked threatening throughout the first half and had one shot pushed over the bar, but was a bit wasteful in the final moments and missed a big chance in the second half.
Jack Fletcher – 8.5 – Finished a fine performance that could have been better with two assists. Worked very well with Mather, with one-touch football that looked like they had been playing together for years. Almost scored a goal of his own with a couple of long-range efforts and his set-piece deliveries left Blackburn confused. Defensively, he also made a difference, making one important interception late on in United’s territory.
Sam Mather – 8.5 – The best player on the pitch alongside Fletcher, he combined well with Fletcher, being a constant threat on the left wing with his tight control and ability to cut through tight spaces around the box, and was rewarded with a goal for his efforts.
Ethan Ennis – 8 – A good early goal, headed in by Sharpe’s cross. He was a constant problem for defenders with his constant running, and was very good at stopping challenges and keeping play in the area. His wonderful first touch was also instrumental in creating United’s third goal.
Substitute
Jacob Devaney – 7.5 – Made a big impression as a substitute and helped United regain control of the game and eventually win. Added a lot of energy defensively and added quality in possession with some excellent defensive split passes. There was one pass in particular that Sharp should have converted.
Gabriele Biancheri – 7 – Although he was only involved for the last 10 minutes, he continued his scoring prowess by scoring a goal from the moment he first touched the ball.
Lewis Jackson – N/A – Not enough time on the pitch
Jaydan Kamason – N/A – Not enough time on the pitch
