But the small internal bonus that new PS5 owners get is expanded storage. For some reason, the original PS5 only had 825GB of onboard storage, with the option to expand it via an external SSD. The new PS5 has 1TB of built-in space, which could potentially fit a few more games, depending on the size.

PS5 vs PS5 Slim: Disc Drive

Like the PS5 that launched in late 2020, there will be two PS5 Slim models: one with a built-in disc drive and one that’s digital-only.
