Two English teams and one Scottish team battled it out on a crucial night for places.

Tottenham beat AZ Alkmaar to maintain their perfect start despite not having the best performance in north London.

Manchester United drew 1-1 with Fenerbahce in a match in which former Red Devils manager Jose Mourinho was sent off.

Qarabag 0-3 Ajax

Ajax had a perfect night in Azerbaijan, beating Qarabag away.

The Dutch team scored three goals through Kenneth Taylor, Wout Weghorst and Chuba Akpom.

And to make matters worse for Qarabag, they saw two men sent in to further weaken their morale.

Roma 1-0 Dynamo Kyiv

Roma left the job to Dynamo Kyiv at home.

The Italian team was awarded a penalty kick in the 23rd minute through Artem Dovbyk’s pass.

It was a dominant display from the hosts and on another day they could have scored more goals.

Athletic Bilbao 1-0 Slavia Prague

Like Roma, Athletic Bilbao also picked up three more points in the Europa League.

It was their star boy Nico Williams who scored the goal after 33 minutes.

Slavia Prague had a chance to bring it back, but were unsuccessful. They had 1.13 xG compared to Bilbao’s 0.17.

Lyon 0-1 Besiktas

Turkish team Besiktas stunned Lyon by beating them 1-0.

Former Tottenham winger Gedson Fernandes scored the only goal of the game, scoring in the 71st minute.

Lyon made 30 shots throughout the game but could not rest once.

Rangers 4-0 FCSB

Rangers cruised past Romanian side FCSB.

The Scottish side had an overwhelming advantage, scoring two goals in the first half and two more in the second half.

Tom Lawrence, Vaclav Cerny and Hamza Igamane got on the scoresheet for the hosts.
